The TriCats handbooks are the primary documentation reference sources for how TriCats functions. They are maintained by the Documentation team. The handbooks use the book module, which enables collaborative editing and provides navigation elements.
Off-line copies of any the documentation handbooks can be created as follows:
From the Handbooks tab, go to the top level page of one of the handbooks: Club Overview, Structure, and Constitution, Committees, or About TriCats Documentation.
Click "Printer-friendly version" link at the bottom of the page. This link is at the bottom of the main content area of book pages, above any comments that may have been added.
The current page and its sub-pages will be output in a clean format with no headers, footers, or side blocks.
Comments to book pages are not included in the printer-friendly copies.
Save the content for off-line use, either by printing, by saving as a .pdf, or saving as html.
This works for sub-sections of a book as well, but there is no way to output all five books at once.
Handbook conventions:
Paths: Instructions such as (administer > user management > access control) are not URLs, but refer to the navigation steps to get to a particular page. In this example, select 'administer' from the navigation menu, then 'user management' under 'administer,' then 'users' under that. Variations include the absence of the parenthesis, lack of italic type face, and use of ">>" or "»" instead of ">." On the other hand, a reference to 'admin/access' is a URL reference.
