BikesDirect.com?

Hey I was looking online today and found a site called bikesdirect.com. The deals they have on some of these bikes seem too good to be true (less than half what it would cost at a local store although they can't offer the same advantage as the locals: fitting, maintence, experience). I read some good and some (very) bad review about the site. Has anyone heard of this site? Would you recommending dealing or not dealing with them? It looks very appealing to someone on a budget...
