A couple of people are planning on doing a mount lemmon brick on Saturday the 12th at 10:00AM at Le Buzz. Rain or Shine. Hopefully rain. It is only supposed to be 84 degrees for the high.
Mt. Lemmon Brick Sat July 12th 10:00am
I am going out on Friday Night and plan to be hung over for the ride. I am going to ride from my house to Le Buzz, then ride from mile marker zero to the top as fast as I can for time, if I beat everyone, I will come back down to meet them, and head back up to the top with them, then do the brick to the summit in the mud, and ride home. It should be fun.
Hoping to see you out there, but if you can't face your wife and your kids, I understand. Wuss. :)
Wow Chris. Harsh words there for Matt. I'll be there. Possibly hung over as well. I'll also be slow due to a total of about 300 miles of riding all summer so far. You'll definitely have to come back for. I like the 10am idea too. I suppose I could semi-compromise and leave at 9, but since I wake up at 330 for work every day, sleeping in a bit sounds nice.
Aww, I was only kidding, Matt knows that I am sure of it. I am a little bummed he doesn't want to ride with us because I really like riding with him, but I guess when you have a ton of responsibilities you have to squeeze in workouts when you can
I am only going late because I want to give people a chance to do the sleep in thing for once in their lives, and I don't really get why people think that you can only ride at the crack of dawn. I wake up super early every day no matter what I do the night before so it really isn't a struggle for me.
I usually ride after 7 pm in the dark with my bike lights during the week just because it is sooooo freaking hot when the sun is up I have to bring a million gallons of water and still get dehyrated.
I can't wait to ride up the mountain into the fog, that should be sweet as a sugarbeet.
Kosuke there aren't many steep downhills in triathlons, and I am sure that if you were following someone on the downhill you would feel more comfortable going fast. But you were so far ahead of everyone. I turned around at mile 8 and Andy turned around at 9.
