Seton Claggett, one of the original Tricats, spoke to the group about (1) club history and personal history, (2) Kona, where he raced last month, (3) his store, Trisports.com. He also announced a huge triathlon expo, "Trifest '08" 26 Feb.-6 March. A really big deal, lots of big triathlon names coming to Tucson: Mark Allen, Dan Empfield, Steve Hed, Sally Edwards. Location still to be finalized.
The great Havasu race (22 March) will involve Colorado Springs, Boulder, ASU, NAU, the Air Force Academy, and of course Tricats.
On Tuesday nights we will have a spinning workout at Trisports.com. Cranks start spinning at 6:30 pm sharp, so arrive between 6:00-6:15. Bring your bike, your trainer, and a towel (because spinning is a sweaty experience). Trisports has a limited number of trainers there, but you should call ahead, talk to Mike Urquhart (at trisports, 1-888-293-3934) and reserve one and also realize it costs $5 per use. We start 6 November.
