Tricats has grown over the past four years incredibly
106 current members to manage
Four elected officers will appoint four more officers to help with the managing of the team
Take on a lot of commitment

Everyone please apply if you have ideas/want changes/have drive
Perks: no dues, you become accountable for area of work, resume
Positions:
Fundraising Chair: set up event, keeping track of attendance, fundraising standards
Race Director: everything to do w/ aquathlon, end of year banquet
Race Coordinator: planning accommodations at races, building networks w/triathlon community, nationals
Sponsorship/Community Liaison: new sponsorships, maintain relationships, other club networking
(Social Coordinator--will be instated in the fall): recruit new members, marketing, social events
These are semester long terms
Coach Brian:
— Goals of triathlon: increase fitness and power/speed, have fun, continue triathlon through life
— Workouts are on the website under calendar tab
— Please try to attend the group workouts, if not secondary group, please try not to do tertiary groups
— His job is to advise you, encourage self-starters = don't expect him at every workout
— Workouts should be up the month before
— Bike trainer session at trisports.com
— Thursday nights will be track workouts, location TBA
— Longer workouts onto the weekend, we will start bricks (biking and running) soon
— Feel free to ask questions on forum
— Listen to Kosuke, he has the right to change swim workouts
— Workouts are going to be shorter and more speed oriented this semester
— Monday rest day, will start developing core strength workout for Monday at Rec (20-30 minute)
— Physical trainers available at the University--use them
— Congrats to marathoners/half marathoners
— Duathlon is coming up: training camp weekend Feb 22ish

Nationals coming up: Tuscaloosa, AL in April
We would like to start instating student coaches/workout leaders: these people will be responsible for knowing and being at the workout, being able to help and answer questions, motivating team. It would maybe be one workout per week....if interested please talk with coach.
Will include additional meeting with Brian every two weeks or so
Will give knowledge for writing your own workouts/coaching in the future
Will help your teammates!
