The purpose of the University of Arizona TriCats is to provide an opportunity for personal growth while promoting a common interest and fostering participation and competition in triathlons and multi-sport events. Club members are strongly encouraged to participate in races, practices, and social events.
The TriCat members give back to the Tucson community through volunteer work for the Disability Resource Center, Camp Wildcat, and Various Local Competitions. We also host two aquathlons per year. These events help members build skills that will help them later in their lives, but also spread knowledge of the club and its supporters throughout the community.
Individual TriCats consistently finish in the top three places in local Tucson races. We have a club goal of placing a team in the top ten out of over 70 colleges and universities at collegiate nationals. To reach this goal our members regularly commit up to 20 hours a week to training in swimming, cycling and running. We fit these workouts around our full time academic schedules, and several of us have part time jobs to cover our college expenses.
TriCats subsidize member race entry fees, and help to fund travel to races. Collegiate Nationals this year is in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and we have a goal of sending 40 student athletes. A thousand student athletes from all over America sacrifice all year to arrive at the National Championships in peak mental and physical condition. Expenses for this penultimate event include plane tickets, hotel stays, meals, bike transportation, and race entry fees and will cost about $700 per athlete. Our team is professionally coached by a three time All American triathlete Brian Grasky, and a champion swimmer Sarah Mooney.
University of Arizona TriCats proudly display our donors logos on all of our racing and training apparel, and on banners at all events that we attend. We have over 80 members that brandish TriCats donor logos during events and training at locations all over Tucson. We are officially recognized by the IRS as a non profit organization which allows for tax deductible donations. We want to do what we can for any company that donates to the TriCats club and any amount small or large would be greatly appreciated. The amount that we are able to promote your company is determined by which level of donation you reach.
Each level is cumulative, except that small logos are replaced with large logos.

$1500- Small logo on all jerseys and team banners
$3000- Large logo on all jerseys and team banners
$6000- Large banner exclusively promoting your company,
