Hey guys, since we can never get enough of working out, or this club we are going to start playing soccer on the mall on the rest day (Monday). Let me know if you want to switch this from Monday after the meeting to Thursday after run practice.

How about basketball

How about basketball instead. soccer is so overrated. This isn't europe or asia or africa. Plus did anyone watch the world cup. It seemed like people were getting injured every 5 seconds.luckily they were usually able to return from the potential career ending inuries later. We should totally play basketball instead.

i remember when we had a

i remember when we had a tricats intermural soccer team. roberto started it so i had to be on it, and i just stood on the field so we could meet the co-ed quota. so, obviously im pro.

If you want to do something

Chris Green's picture

If you want to do something American, you should eat fast food, and get fat.

Basketball is boring, I have seen way too many non athletes go pro in basketball just because they are tall. Lame. Plus the biggest teams that we could have would be 5 on 5. We don't want to exclude anyone. The alternate sport, if soccer is a failure, would have to be ultimate frisbee.

Just think, when you travel to all these new places, you will have something to talk about to the locals. God knows nobody cares about triathlon.

I'm with you on this one

I'm with you on this one Chris. Soccer is pretty much the best sport around and if we play hard, it'll help us out on our sprinting abilities. Since those are important when running long distances and all.

Is this something that it would be okay to bring outsiders too?

Sean, I think that you

Sean, I think that you should definitely bring your friends to participate. I love meeting new people.

steven, your opinion on

steven, your opinion on this isssue is void! soccer is the most popular sport on the planet. i'm so down for some tricat soccer!

Definetly not a basketball

Rachel Wordelman's picture

Definetly not a basketball fan and acutally soccer would be an awesome way for us new guys to hang out and get to know some of the members.

Haha, where the B-ball

Kosuke Amano's picture

Haha, where the B-ball love? I'm down for both. Soccer is probably better for tricats cuz as chris said more people can play. But if anyone want to get a little game of 3 on 3 going during the weekend or whatever, I can dunk... (on a 8 feet rim...actually, it was probably 7 feet)

Obviously if we are looking

Andy Wyatt's picture

Obviously if we are looking for a sport that can accomodate everyone, and is fun, then TAG is the answer. Think about it, giant intramural tag games. Like 100+ people. If anyone else thinks this is the best idea ever, then lemme know

what kind of TAG are you

Nick Tanner's picture

what kind of TAG are you talking about? Freeze tag? tv- tag? i guess tag is the best answer because there are so many variations. No tog-backs of course.

I vote for TOILET tag...
